MSI is about to host the Master Overclocking Arena competition in Taiwan, and despite not having posted the schedule or much else except the main page, plus some links, the MOA official website is now up.

MOA is a contest with various money and hardware prizes, and also the place where CPU clock speed records have been set in the past.

This year's theme is “Steel World” and the so-called “War Rules” demand that the test benches be built according to very tight specifications.

MSI Big Bang XPOWER II motherboard, Intel Core i7-3960X Processor Extreme Edition CPU, MSI N680GTX Lightning and 8 GB of Kingston HyperX Genesis DDR3-2400 (2GBx4) stand out as most important components of the test benches.

Currently, the competition is in the voting stage, where those who follow the contest vote for who they think will win. The ones who vote may score a prize during the Weekly Lucky Draw, and one who gets it right will be chosen and given the MSI Z77 MPOWER mainboard.
