Keyboards are an intrinsic part of any PC, which means that there will always be a market for them, something that MSI is all too eager to exploit.

The company has formally introduced the GK-601 mechanical keyboard. Mechanical because it uses Cherry MX Red linear switches, like many others of its ilk.

Each switch can survive 50 million strokes. That's a long life.

Precision laser etching gives them resistance too, and then, there is the 18K gold plating that increases stability. N-key rollover just ensures that each and every key-press registers.

Software-wise, the keyboard ships with a driver and dedicated program, but the peripheral itself has 128 KB of memory of its own, allowing it to store 50 macros.

USB connects the GK-601 to the PC, while audio and microphone jacks complete the feature set.
