Micro-Star International has revealed one of those motherboards that are starting to look more and more like wireless routers.
Called H87I AC, it is an LGA 1150 Haswell-ready mini-ITX board with a couple of antennas not unlike those used by Wi-Fi routers and/or access points.
That's just one of the unusual features though. The other is the Military Class 4 construction, with solid capacitors and otherwise enduring components.
Kind of odd that a mainboard incapable of CPU overclocking would have these, but then again Haswell chips can be overpowered even in base settings, so a tougher physical form doesn't hurt.
Other noteworthy parts include a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, four SATA 6.0 Gbps ports, 7.1 channel audio, Gigabit Ethernet and four SATA 6.0 Gbps ports.
The price of the newcomer is of €102 / $137, but shipments haven't started yet.
