Yesterday we brought you news of PocketBook’s latest CAD Reader, an e-Reader of sorts that embeds a technology especially designed to display images and drawings made in programs like AutoCAD and Autodesk.

Now it’s MSI’s turn to jump in the AutoCAD bandwagon, as well, with the company releasing a series of updated mobile workstations that have received the AutoCAD 2014 certification.

On top of that, the G720 2OL, GT70 2OK, GT60 2OK – 2K IPS Edition and GT60 2OJ laptops have embedded the latest NVIDIA Quadro K4100M/K3100M/K2100M graphics cards and 4th-gen Intel Core i7 processors. Users will get the option to choose which operating system they want to see onboard, either Windows 8 or Windows 7 Professional.

MSI Vice President Eric Kuo said the company “understands professional’s needs. Based on MSI's strong and excellent backgrounds of Mobile Workstations and R&D technology, the latest MSI Mobile Workstations series, GT70 2OL, GT70 2OK, GT60 2OK - 3K IPS Edition and GT60 2OJ, were created for all types of work environments and professionals, such as designers, architects, and video production houses.”

“Besides being certificated by varies independent software vendor (ISV), MSI Mobile Workstation's awesome features - exclusive Super RAID 2 technology, matrix display supports up to 4 monitors and the super cool Cooler Boost 2 technology - do not only increase efficiency in work, but also provide more stable and faster working environment for professionals.”

The updated GT70 models feature a 17.3-inch anti-glare screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, while the GT60 bunch comes packing 15.6-inch displays with the same impressive resolution.

The latest embedded graphics will help professionals run the most demanding rendering programs like Adobe CS6, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Dessault Systemes CATIA, SoliWorks, PTC Creo or Siemens NX, without encountering any issues. The laptops also offer support for OpenGL 4.3, DirectX 11, Shader Mode 5.0, OpenCL and Precision FP32.

At this point, pricing hasn't been revealed yet.
