Since new memory and, especially, graphics products were unveiled just a more or less short time ago, it is not surprising to hear of new mobile PCs, and MSI has just released its latest one, the GT663, based on an Intel Core CPU.

The GT663 has its configuration centered around a high-end Intel Core i7 central processing unit.

This CPU is backed up by a solid DDR3-1333 MHz memory capacity of up to 12 GB, which already says a lot about the performance level of this notebook.

There is also the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M graphics card, with 1.5 GB of memory and support for high-end graphics and DirectX 11.

Coupled with the CPU and memory, this card will definitely make good use of the 15.6-inch LED-backlit 16:9 screen with either HD of Full HD support.

There is, of course, also a hard disk drive of either 500 GB or 640 GB in RAID 0, or even 1TB of storage.

What's more the product boasts a DVD super multi or Blu-ray drive and the full range of connectivity and I/O options.

The list includes a pair of USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA connector, an Express Card, a 5-in-1 card reader and even two USB 3.0 connectors.

What's more, there is the obligatory Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WLAN and, of course, Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR.

Other specifications include a HDMI output, a 9-cell battery, the TDE (Turbo Drive Engine) technology and a design with orange lights on the edges.

The TDE technology lets one overclock the entire system at the touch of a button, for a significant performance boost.

“Not only does it keep your system from bogging down when executing load-intensive applications, this highly responsive computer has got your back when you’re surrounded by hordes of angry goblins or careening through the universe at the speed of light,” states the press release.

Finally, the machine runs Windows 7 but, unfortunately, has not been given any sort of price or release date.
