There are many ways to promote a product, either through the publishing of promising benchmarks, extensive advertising, using a strong brand or simply by optimizing a piece of hardware until there is nothing that can stand against it. Other times, it helps to join the device with a certain other product that is just as, or even more, successful. It is this type of tactic that MSI's latest product bundles are clear proof of.

With the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 and 480 selling, and the GTX 465 incoming, AMD's Radeon series is no longer unchallenged, which means that video card makers finally have a reason to take special measures. The special measure that Micro-Star International took is quite straightforward: offer a video card alongside a game capable of making the best of it.

The dual-GPU Radeon HD 5970 model, as well as the HD 5870 lightning, the HD 5850 Twin Frozr II and the R5830 Twin Frozr II are now purchasable in a bundle with a copy of Ubisoft's highly acclaimed game Assassin's Creed II.

This title has received excellent scores in practically every review, the only major drawback being the very strict DRM that requires all players to be connected to the Ubisoft server during gameplay.

“With MSI's high performance graphics cards, gamers can fully enjoy the enchanting scenery of Venice, the majestic view of Florence, experience the many unique skills used as an assassin, and jump onto rooftops and over walls as you try to escape pursuing enemies! The framed assassin needs your skilled hands to guide him in seeking revenge and fighting for his family's honor,” states the official announcement.

Gamers with good Internet connections (or a weak one and nerves of steel) can take their pick by visiting this specially set-up page on the company's official website.
