It appears that MSI does not allow itself to rest too much before supplying the IT market with yet another one or more products, in this case a pair of mobile computers powered by Intel's newest generation of processors.

Micro-Star International is one of the IT players that remained fairly active even over the past couple of months, which were fairly slow in terms of new releases.

In fact, even with the CES (Consumer Electronics Show), MWC (Mobile World Congress) and CeBIT 2011 trade shows, the amount of news has still been a bit on the low side.

In fact, only tablets can be said to have been launched in any significant variety, though even they had to stick to more or less the same hardware-software schemes (ARM-Android and x86-Windows).

Now, Micro-Star International decided to do something on the notebook front, so it revealed the GE620 and GR620.

The former is the more powerful of the duo and uses, as main piece, a second generation Intel Sandy Bridge CPU.

It boasts the obligatory integrated graphics, plus the GeForce GT 540M discrete solutions, with DirectX 11 and 1 GB of VRAM.

There is also mention of a HDD, with 320 GB, 500 GB or 640 GB capacity, plus of an optical disk drive (ODD), which can be DVD or Blu-ray.

All in all, the MSI GE620 is intended for gamers (its display is a 15.6-inch panel with a native resolution of (1,366 x 768 pixels).

Meanwhile, the GR620 has no discrete GPU so it is more of a multimedia-centric configuration than anything else (the rest of its features are the same).

For those that want further details, Micro-Star International threw in a 4-channel speaker system, a 5-in-1 card reader, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet and a pair of USB 3.0 ports, plus a 6-cell battery. Unfortunately, no pricing or availability details are known.
