When making an all-in-one PC, companies often do their best to cram as much performance as they possibly can. This usually leads to exorbitant prices that many end-users can't really afford. Still, even in the midst of so many high-end systems, there come times when a company or another comes up with something different. This is exactly what MSI did with the Wind Top AE1920.

Instead of implementing the Intel Core series of chips and matching memory and graphics options, Micro-Star International settled for, as odd as it may sound, the Pine Trail platform. The CPU that lies at the heart of the AiO, supported by the NM10 Express Chipset, is none other than the Atom D525, whose frequency is of 1.8GHz. This processor is backed up by up to 4GB of DDR3 and graphics capabilities provided by the GMA 3150 integrated solution. Furthermore, a SATA II HDD brings 250GB or 320GB of storage space to the equation, while the tray-in DVD Super Multi handles optical storage.

Other specifications of the device include a 1.3 megapixel webcam, a pair of 3W speakers with SRS Premium Surround Sound, four USB ports, a mini-PCIe slot and a 6-in-1 card reader. All these chips and parts are crammed inside a white enclosure with an 18.5-inch 1366 x 768 pixel LCD 16:9 display. Finally, it supports standard VESA wall mounts and kits.

“The Wind Top AE1920 incorporates all of the computer's functions into an elegant white casing that features streamlined molding and transparent frame design that sheds the traditional cold feel of computers. In addition to being slim line and not taking up much space, it’s like a refined home accessory that adds to the style and atmosphere of your house,” says the official announcement.

The display brings the benefits of single touch input to the equation and the machine is pre-loaded with the Microsoft Windows 7 Home premium Operating system. It has not been priced yet, but it comes bundled with an USB keyboard and mouse.
