Alltel Wireless and Motorola have announced the availability of the MOTOKRZR K1m, the latest member of the popular MOTORAZR series of mobile phones. Customers will be able to purchase the handset online or in Alltel stores starting with October 5, 2006.

"MOTOKRZR is narrower than MOTORAZR and yet the new handset includes all the advanced features customers want, including an MP3 player and video camera," said Wade McGill, senior vice president of product management for Alltel Wireless. "MOTOKRZR truly offers customers an unparalleled wireless experience."

MOTOKRZR has a stylish look, with a dark pearl gray glass finish and a metal keyboard. On the exterior of the phone, there are music dedicated buttons that can be used when the flip phone is closed, as well as a 1.3 megapixel camera with video capture capabilities. Other features include Bluetooth, BREW 3.1 technology and 64 MB memory, expandable via microSD cards. The phone works on Alltel's Axcess Broadband network, which delivers data, including live TV, at speeds of 400-700 Kbps.

"MOTOKRZR delivers sleek and sophisticated design along with premium voice and multimedia features for consumers," said Rick Gadd, vice president of sales, Mobile Devices Business, Motorola, Inc. "We're extremely pleased to make the MOTOKRZR available to Alltel customers."
