2K Sports announces that it is planning to launch a videogame called MLB Front Office Manager, a management game for baseball enthusiasts, that will be available for the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the PC. The title aims to attract all those people who are interested in fantasy baseball, delivering the same experience on consoles and enhancing management options on the PC.

MLB Front Office Manager will allow people to really live the life of a general manager of a baseball team. You can choose a side and take it all the way from Spring Training and then through a full Major League Baseball season, with the clear goal of getting into the playoffs and then to the World Series. The game will use real world teams from the Major League and likenesses of the players. The dynamics of the real teams will be perfectly replicated, with players retiring because of injuries or age, rookies coming on to replace them, scouting of Minor Leagues, blockbuster trades and bidding wars for the best young players.

Greg Thomas, who is the senior vice president of sports development at 2K, comments on the game, “If you have ever dreamed of running your team or thought you could do a much better job than the actual general managers out there then you'll love MLB Front Office Manager. Baseball fanatics can now be in the general manager's chair and see what it's like to really try to build a World Series winning team”.

The developers hired Billy Keane, the general manager of Oakland Athletics, to offer advice, encouragement and overall guidance to players. In career mode, you will really need his advice as you can play for up to 30 years in order to make into the game's Hall of Fame. The other game mode is Online Fantasy Mode, which can be used to play a game against up to 30 other players online.
