Sony announces other titles, too

Sony has made quite a few announcements at its PlayStation Day Europe event which was held in London. Amongst them was also the fact that a bundle for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be available in Europe. European gamers have feared that the bundle would only be available in North America, as an announcement made by Sony earlier in the year hinted.

The bundle will include a black system and will feature a 40GB hard drive and a copy of the game. The set price for Europe will be 439.99 Euros.

SCE Japan Studio's new game in the well-known (in Japan) Siren horror franchise will be released episodically under the new name of Blood Curse. Sony says it is "a gaming first" when it comes to the PlayStation. The game will be delivered during the summer through the PlayStation Network and will tell the tale of an American television crew that aims to research an ancient curse through the eyes of multiple characters.

Buzz! Quiz TV for PlayStation 3, which is due in Europe this June, and Buzz! Master Quiz, which will make an appearance for the PlayStation Portable in Europe in July, are part of the effort that Sony is making in creating new games to cover the casual segment.

A few delays have also been announced at the Sony-organized event. PS3 shooter Killzone 2, which was set to provide a killer app for the Sony console, developed by Guerrilla Games, is now set for a February 2009 release in Europe, after it was previously expected in late 2008. Media Molecule created physics oriented platformer LittleBigPlanet, also for the PS3, is too getting delayed, from September to November.

Just one rename was announced. MotorStorm 2, developed by Evolution Studios, is now known as MotorStorm: Pacific Rift. We hope it will also be known as a very good off- road racing game.
