Chinese company Meizu has just announced that its Flyme Store has surpassed the 100 million downloads barrier.

To celebrate this important achievement, Meizu has awarded user Zeying Mao, who downloaded the 100 millionth app, 10,000 yuan (1,580 USD or 1,200 EUR) in credit for use on the Flyme Store.

Meizu’s Flyme Store was launched in November 2009, but only recently the app store has seen tremendous traffic due to the company releasing its new Android phones, such as Meizu MX and M9.

According to Meizu, Flyme Store had only 10 million downloads before launching the M9 back in 2011, but managed to break the 100 million milestone in only one year.

It appears that Flyme Store has more than 10,000 apps organized in 13 categories, including games, lifestyle, multimedia, transportation and themes.
