MAINGEAR Computers, one of the most recognizable names in the industry for custom-built gaming and high-performance computer systems, has just announced that it has launched a series of three computer systems that have been specifically built to provide users with a choice for NVIDIA's Power of 3 configuration. The new systems will essentially adopt the latest Intel P55 chipset and will be featured with a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GPU, a separate GPU for dedicated PhysX, CUDA and OpenCL support, but also a high-performance motherboard chipset.

“MAINGEAR strives to bring integration innovation to the performance PC market,” says Wallace Santos, CEO and Founder of MAINGEAR Computers. “NVIDIA's Power of 3 brings together cutting edge technology for the ultimate in high performance computing. Together with Intel's Core i5 and i7 processors and the P55 chipset, NVIDIA's wide-range of homogenous computing technologies enable a wide range of CPU-offloading capabilities to accelerate the most popular software titles available today.”

Kicking off with the lowest-priced model, the X-Cube i7 P55 Power of 3, the new system will provide users with a choice for one of Intel's latest Core i5 or Core i7 processors, coupled with up to 8GB of DDR3 Kingston memory, and NVIDIA GeForce GPU with an optional dedicated PhysX, CUDA and OpenCL GPU, a 550W Silverstone Element power supply, a choice for a Flash-based SSD or traditional SATA HDDs, optional DVD or Blu-ray burners, high-definition sound card and Microsoft's Windows 7 operating system. The other two configurations are pretty much the same, with the Prelude 2 featuring a higher-capacity 650 Watts power supply, and the F131 i7 boasting a 750 Watts PSU.

“The Power of 3 helps our customers build balanced PCs for gaming,” said Tom Petersen, Director of Technical Marketing at NVIDIA. “This is one of the best ways to get amazing gaming with PhysX and SLI. It’s great to see MAINGEAR bring this to their customers.”

The first of the three, the X-Cube i7 comes at a price tag of US$1,239, while the Prelude 2 and F131 start at US$1,325 and US$1,549, respectively.
