If you're a fan of the Star Wars franchise (the video game that is), then you'll be awfully pleased to know that LucasArts has just gone public announcing that Star Wars: Empire at War has been bundled with its expansion pack, Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption, in the Star Wars: Empire at War Gold Pack. I think I've written "Star Wars" enough times for this piece, wouldn't you say?

According to the official report, the Gold Pack of (here we go again) Star Wars: Empire at War is now available at retailers for the affordable price of $29.99, also including a hint book from Prima Games and all of the bonus content found in the Collector's Edition of Star Wa... eh, the expansion. The Gold pack has also been confirmed to support Games for Windows being compatible with both Vista and XP.

Here's a little bit on Empire at War straight from the developer: Empire at War puts the power to command an entire war for the Star Wars galaxy at your fingertips, with battles focused on action-packed combat rather than on tedious resource gathering. Set a few years before the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, Empire at War lets players wage war on ground and in space, as well as experience the creation of the Rebel Alliance, the strengthening of the Empire, and the beginnings of the Galactic Civil War.

PC gamers and fans of the franchise alike will also find it satisfying that new tactics such as piracy, kidnapping, racketeering and bribery, have been implemented, while they'll also be able to control the forces of corruption attempting to rule the Star Wars underworld.

You're good for now with this information at hand, but if there's anything that we might have skipped, more information on the Star Wars Empire at War: Gold Pack can be found by clicking on this here link.
