Powerful notebooks for just $1998

The renowned home PC company Packard Bell has recently launched the biggest range of lowest-priced 12" laptops worldwide. The latest 12.1" notebook models included in the Easynote BU45 series combine affordability, style and custom-oriented features that greatly appeal to customers all over the world.

Packard Bell claims that the entry-level BU45 model is the only Core 2 Duo laptop priced below $2,000 ($1998) currently available on the market. The majority of 12.1" laptops out there are priced much higher than $2,000. The EasyNote BU45 series is ideal for users seeking extended connectivity features on the move. "Personal mobility is one of today's strongest cultural trends. In particular, consumers want 'household mobility, which is the ability to use and communicate via their notebook anywhere in the house-not just at a desk," says Louis Perrin, marketing director for mobile products, Packard Bell, Europe".

EasyNote BU45's sleek design hides an entire host of handy features. Most importantly, it comes bundled with Windows Vista Home Premium and is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo CPUs for exceptional mobile performance. Furthermore, the notebook integrates a 12.1-inch WXGA display, up to 2GB of DDR2 shared memory, a 160GB hard drive and a Dual Layer ? R9 DVD burner. For easy connection with other peripherals, it features three USB 2.0 ports, a 4-in-1 memory card reader and a built-in Bluetooth port. Internet and network access is facilitated via built-in 10/100 Ethernet and Wi-Fi capabilities.

Apart from the brand-new Vista OS, the EasyNote BU45 series comes with a complete collection of branded software, including Microsoft Word, Symantec Internet Security, Skype Internet telephony and Google tools. The preinstalled package of Google search and organizational tools includes Google Desktop, Google Earth, Google Picassa and the Google Toolbar for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer. The EasyNote BU45 also features photo and video editing software and games.
