14 DAY TRIAL // When the announcement came that Reese Witherspoon would be in a movie with Robert Pattinson and that they would get to kiss and shoot at least one love scene, probably any of his female fans would have traded places with her in an instant. They can be glad they didn’t.
In a recent interview with InTouch to promote the upcoming “Water for Elephants” (it’s out in theaters in a few days), Reese reveals that, because she expected more from the love scenes with the British star, she was entirely disappointed.
It wasn’t all Robert’s fault though, she says: he had a very nasty cold and that meant kissing him was not exactly as hot as Reese expected.
“Rob possibly had the most hideous horrible cold of any co-star I’ve ever had to do a love scene with ever in my entire life,” she says for the celebrity magazine.
Because of said cold, he could hardly breathe through his nose – and some other disgusting stuff.
“He was literally snorting and snotting through every second of it – and it was not appealing. I’m talking green, infectious, disgusting – I’m not kidding!” the actress stresses.
As such, it’s no wonder shooting for the love scenes wasn’t the experience Reese expected, especially since she’s been very vocal about how well she understood women’s fascination with him.
“I’m going to say it’s a little bit of a downer. I was a little disappointed. It wasn’t [hot],” the actress says.
While kissing Robert turned out to be quite a nasty experience, in previous interviews, Reese has nothing but nice things to say about the “Twilight” star, from his work ethic, to his talent, his romance with Kristen Stewart and, last but not least, his good looks.
“He’s sweet and loving and has the nicest family. Kristen [Stewart, Pattinson’s girlfriend] is really sweet, too. He’s a very sensitive soul. He worked really hard. He looks great in the movie, too,” Witherspoon said a while back, as we also reported at the time.
