It was only a matter of time really...

It's official Sci-Fi shooter fans, Capcom has announced development for the PC version of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, currently available only with the Xbox 360 console from Microsoft. The title that sold more than one million units worldwide, will have a June PC port, retailing for around 40 bucks.

Jack Symon, director, brand marketing of Capcom Entertainment reveals that Lost Planet Extreme Condition for the PC was just a matter of time really: "With the resurgence of the PC gaming market, it was a natural decision for us to deliver the Lost Planet experience to gamers on this platform. By employing the latest and greatest technology available, the development team is able to tailor the game for this highly important audience."

Major differences aren't to be found with the PC port of the Sci-Fi shooter produced by Keiji Inafune, regarding gameplay, but the visuals...oh, I could just die! Leaving aside the enormous world maps unfolding as players battle hostile creatures in blistering weather conditions across vast snow fields and blazing volcanic areas (on foot or in armed, robotic Vital Suits), major improvements have occurred with effects and the manner of objects blowing up. Everything has been optimized to provide gamers only with the most realistic presentation and explosive in-game action. You're probably wondering how I know all this. That's because I forgot to mention there's a trailer already available right HERE, so you can see for yourself what I'm babbling about here.

Other improvements (visuals related also) consist of better shadows, more detailed textures and higher monitor resolutions. A new lobby interface has been adapted too and gamers will be able to play using a mouse and keyboard, or a gamepad controller, but then why not just play it on the 360? Graphics alone don't always do the trick. In-game footage in the trailer will show just how accurately one can aim using the sniper functions. That's no gamepad control you're seeing, I can tell you that.

Remember: the game launches in June and if you want to know more about this superb Sci-Fi shooter that still enjoys a good dose of popularity on the 360, check out the related links below.
