Lord of the Rings Online Shadow of Angmar's distributor for the Chinese market will be CDC Games, a subsidiary of China.com. This deal will prove to be most successful for Turbine and CDC games as the Lord of the Rings franchise managed to bring in incomes of over US$ 2.9 billion worldwide. The game is expected to be launched in the spring of 2007.

The previous installment in the Lord of the Rings Online series was Middle-earth Online developed in collaboration with Vivendi Universal Games. The first MMORPG based on literary works, Lord of the Rings Online is set to take place in the legendary world described in J.R.R. Tolkien's books.

The most interesting thing in all Lord of the Rings-related multimedia is the multitude of races and classes of characters. Lord of the Rings Online players can choose from several classes of characters like: Champion, Guardian, Captain, Minstrel, Burglar, Hunter and Lore-Master.

Locations in the new version of The Lord of the Rings Online will be familiar, but at the same time strange as, besides the well-known locations like The Shire, new one like The Ered-Luin and Bree-land will be introduced.

The range of creatures that players will have to defeat in Shadows of Angmar is impressive, developers not disappointing LOTR fans by not introducing new ones. Aurochs, Bog-lurker Warg are but few creatures dwelling in the fantasy world of The Lord of the Rings.
