Much like Logitech, BlueAnt stepped forward and formally unleashed an electronic product that it has had in the works for quite a while, though the time it took the former to make its move was quite a bit longer.

When making a new product, companies often have to take measures to ensure that said invention does not go by ignored once formally released.

Unfortunately, with how new things come out every day, lack of notice is a distinct possibility all around.

As such, it is common for IT players to release information and/or photos of an upcoming item even months in advance, sometimes even years.

Logitech pulled this off with the G400 mouse, although, true enough, it had the advantage that this product was a reinvention of an already famous peripheral.

Now, BlueAnt is at last finishing a wired audio headset that made its first appearance back in January, during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). It marked a sort of branching out for a company that was and still is best known for this preference towards wireless items, particularly Bluetooth-equipped ones.

Granted, this is not exactly an official release, since availability will still take a while to ramp up.

Instead, BlueAnt allowed for an update on its progress, in which it discloses the fact that pre-orders can now be set, although deliveries will only commence in a few weeks. The price is $199.99.

Bearing the name Embrace, it relies on the Bluetooth wireless technology to communicate with desktops or laptops.

Then again, the choice of wireless feature makes it easy to also link the headset to smartphones, especially considering the integrated mic and controls that let one perform hands-free calls on iPhones.

What's more, special controls exist for playing music on such phones, as well as pausing and tracking forward audio selections.
