Johnson was kicked out of that London Assembly meeting

A clip of London Mayor Boris Johnson insulting a committee set in place to oversee him has resurfaced on YouTube these days to much acclaim.

Johnson utters an insult to his retractors, calling them out as cowards who are too scared to confront them on issues they feel strongly about. The best part about his response is the actual wording of the insult.

“Great supine protoplasmic invertebrate jellies!” he calls them, in true educated British gentleman fashion.

This incident took place during a 2012 meeting on the Townhall budget in front of London Assembly members.

Johnson was asked to leave after insulting the members of the Assembly, who were trying to modify his budget, Metro reported at the time.

“At one point he tried to get protesters in the public gallery to heckle him which isn’t standard practice,” said Green Party London Assembly member Darren Johnson.
