Michael Denny will address some major issues of the games industry

ELSPA - an association of gaming software developers dealing with issues of anti-piracy, codes of practice, accreditation, and professional development; TIGA - an association representing the business and commercial interests of games software developers in the UK and Europe; along with CMP Game Group - a core provider of essential information to the professional game industry -, recently announced Michael Denny, Vice President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studio Europe, as the keynote for the forthcoming London Games Summit.

In his keynote, Denny will address the issue of digital distribution and take a closer look at what a network focused future will mean for the industry from consumer choice and demands, content planning and production, community creation and retention to economic rules and realities. Also, Denny joins an impressive line-up of speakers including Shaun Woodward and Lord Sainsbury in addressing the game industry on the opportunities and challenges currently facing publishers and developers.

The London Games Summit will be held on the 4th & 5th October, 2006, at the BAFTA headquarters in Piccadilly. The Summit will offer two days' worth of content from visionary industry executives and key government ministers who will provide insights into the game industry and address the key issues challenging today's game business leaders.

The London Games Summit will form a critical part of the London Games Festival, a week-long series of events to be held in the capital beginning the 2nd October. The week will also feature the CMP Game Group's GDC London - a conference focused exclusively on advanced techniques in game development; the London Game Career Fair presented by Gamasutra.com, Eurogamer.net and Gamesindustry.biz; the London Content, Outsourcing and Middleware Market, presented by Tiga; and BAFTA's British Academy Video Games Awards.
