14 DAY TRIAL // Lomography's project to develop the legendary 19th century Petzval lens was very well received on Kickstarter and the project has seen a great deal of backers willing to get their hands on this one-of-a-kind lens.
Although the company needed only $100,000 / €72,770 to make this lens a reality, the Kickstarter community managed to raise around $1.4 mil / €1 mil. Lomography has recently announced that the first 500 Petzval lenses are shipping to their first Kickstarter backers.
In addition to that, the company has also stated that the Petzval 85mm f/2.2 lens is now available for pre-order from the Lomography Online Shop. So, if you didn't have the chance to grab it during its Kickstarter campaign, you can now order it directly from the official store.
The Brass Lomography Petzval 85mm f/2.2 lens can be purchased for $754 / €549 for either Canon EF or Nikon F mounts. At the same time, you could grab a Black version of the Lomography Petzval 85mm f/2.2 lens for $892 / €649.
