Digital content sharing has become one of our generation’s obsessions. We usually share life’s precious moments by pulling the tablet or phone out of our pocket or uploading photo albums via Facebook or Twitter.

However, a number of companies believe that printed photos are not out of fashion and some people would still love to have a photo album lying around the house. Besides hipsters, of course.

Anyway, long-time Kickstarter sweetheart Lomography has just announced its latest photographic endeavor, in the form of the Lemo’Instant camera. The device maker is hoping to raise $100,000 / €73,367 in order to be able to send the camera into mass production.

The colorful camera will be able to shoot in the popular Instanx Mini film and users will be given a choice between three different lenses, including a 27mm wide-angle, a 35mm portrait and 170° fisheye.

Furthermore, the camera is able to shoot in three modes: automatic, manual with flash / manual without flash, but also bulb mode with long exposure.

Like many product makers, Lomography doesn't shy away from making big claims, as the new camera is marketed as having the largest aperture on an instant camera with a range from f/8 to f/32.

Lemo’Instant also has a fixed shutter speed of 1/125s (when not on bulb mode) and will run on AAA batteries.

Moreover, the camera will also arrive with a standard capable release and exposure compensation to ±2EV.

Thanks to the infinitely long exposures, owners of the new instant camera will be able to shoot without problems in low light environments or nighttime scenarios.

But the particularity that makes the Lomo’Instant stand out from the crowd is that the Fujifilm Instax Mini film working together with the wide-angle lens, enables users to take snapshots and immediately print them out. It brings back memories of Polaroid cameras, doesn't it?

“This creative moment is right there in your hand. Unlike one of the hundreds of photos you take on your phone, this instant is a real object. You can put it on your wall, share it with a friend or slip it in your pocket to always keep the precious memory with you,” comments Lomography on why they decided to embed this feature.

The Lomo’Instant is expected to go up for sale with a price tag between $120 - $150 / €88 - €110 and will probably be made available for purchase in November 2014.
