A completely new line of keyboards, mice and audio headsets

Sometimes it is best to launch just one product, perhaps discretely, but other times companies judge the situation more favorable to a large lineup coming out all at once, like Logitech just did.

What Logitech has done is formally introduce the “Logitech G” line of peripherals for high-end gaming personal computers.

In truth, this is actually a rebranding of an existing collection. Logitech released a bunch of products with G in their name in the past, but they never had an actual brand associated with them.

Now they do, and we can safely say the company has no fewer than two keyboards, two headsets and four mice in the new series.

“From Delta Zero sensor technology for high accuracy cursor control to advanced surface materials for a comfortable precision grip to anti-ghosting keys, we are passionate about delivering gear that goes beyond your demands,” said Ehtisham Rabbani, senior vice president, customer experience and chief marketing officer.

The so-called star of the product line is Logitech G700s, a mouse described as “the zenith of all wireless gaming mice.” It has a price of $99 / 99 Euro.

It is about eight times faster than standard USB mice, communicating with the PC at up to 1,000 times per second.

The G headsets both have noise canceling microphones and removable ear cups, so that they can be washed, unlike most.

Then there is the keyboard set, with unusual shapes and even detachable displays, of sorts, which apparently show sound volume. The video embedded below goes into detail about everything.

All peripherals will sell in North America starting at some point in April. The mice will be priced at $39 / 39 Euro to $99 / 99 Euro, while the keyboards have $119 / 119 Euro and $199 / 199 Euro price tags. The headsets are priced at $59 / 59 Euro and $79 / 79 Euro.

“The new lineup exemplifies our passion for science and includes six redesigned mice and keyboard favorites and two new headsets, each one featuring advanced technology specifically designed to improve gamers’ performance,” said Rabbani.
