The Nintendo DS is the place where everything happens

We all know that the Nintendo DS handheld is a place where a lot of unexpected things can and usually happen. One of them is this new game under development by Gammick Entertainment: Little Red Riding Hood: Zombie BBQ, a title that will bring pure madness to your consoles. And honestly, I have absolutely no idea whether this is good or bad.

Because, you know, there are a lot of completely messed up characters set to star in the game. First, we have the heroes: Little Red and Momotaro. Then, the enemies: Little Red's granny, Gretel, the three little pigs, Pinocchio and even Santa Claus! They are all zombies who have to be shot and destroyed from a top-down shooting perspective. And all these are partially interesting, partially horrendous.

Of course, the story is as great as the game concept: the invasion of leper zombies takes place after Little Red's savior, the brave woodman, dies while fighting. What battle we're talking about, why or where the zombies come from and how the fairytale characters have turned into zombies - all these necessary explanations are completely left out. As well as the reasons of introducing Momotaro in the game - he is just a playable character, but he has no background story, he is nobody.

And there are even more funny things in this to be released Nintendo DS exclusive. The words used by the developers to describe the game or the monster are truly hilarious: the zombies "won't stop at anything: from the succulent legs of ham of the Three Little Pigs, to the sawdust brain of Pinocchio". Little Red Riding Hood also seems to be a bit older and looks completely different from the picture you have in mind. She is also a lot tougher: she loves to use machine guns and giant bombs, has two special moves (Red Dash and Sexy Dodge) and her hobbies are hunting, cooking and being charming. Priceless!
