Light painting is among the most popular forms of photography out there, giving you the freedom to unleash your creativity in any way you want using various light emitting tools starting with flashlights, glowsticks, or LED key chains and ending with kids toys.

With the new Kickstarter campaign, Travis Stevens and Jamie MacDonald, the guys behind Wave Gap Labs, are planning to bring an easy to use light painting solution at an affordable price. Often, dedicated light painting tools are very expensive and come with a somewhat complex design that might give you a bit of a headache before learning all the ropes.

Thus, Litebrush was born to bring photographers an affordable and easy to use tool that will allow them to focus more on creativity and less on how to make the device work to comply with your needs.

Litebrush comes with two versions (Basic and Pro), each designed to provide both enthusiast and professional photographers with the best lighting solution for their light painting photos.

The Basic Litebrush features 30 color LEDs powered by a single 9V battery and is available in three solid colors (Red, Green, or Blue). The main bar is made from 16 gage (1.5mm) stainless steel that provides enhanced durability along with a non-reflective surface for the LEDs.

On the other side, the Litebrush Pro is made out of an extruded aluminum support bar and packs 12 RGB LEDs powered by a 9V battery. In comparison with Basic Litebrush, the Litebrush Pro also features an onboard controller that allows you to change or cycle the LED lights colors between the 20 different tones available at various speeds and intensities.

If you want to give light painting a shot with the new Litebrush, you should visit the project's Kickstarter page where, for only $55 / €40 or $100 / €73, you can get your own Basic Litebrush or Litebrush Pro and support the ongoing campaign.
