There is no doubt that Jennifer Lopez has built her image as a ghetto girl gone famous but who hasn't forgotten her roots. The latest single from her upcoming studio album seems to reinforce that idea, as the singer can be heard in a musical rap that she's in love with her “papi.”

The first thing that is going to grab your attention when you begin to listen to “I Luh Ya Papi” is not the trippy sound of the negative, but the accent that Jennifer Lopez is sporting on this track that sounds suspiciously similar to Rihanna's Caribbean drawl.

The other weird thing is going to be hearing JLo rap and speak of her “puppy” in the most endearing terms. This baby talk can prove a bit disconcerting, at least in the latter part of the song when it becomes the background chorus for the rap performed by French Montana.

“I Luh Ya PaPi” is probably going to be one of those songs that you either love or hate, but it probably helps if you use the word “papi” on a day-to-day basis.

The track is a follow-up to the recent releases from her upcoming album, “Girls” and “Same Girl.” The album is expected to come out later this year at a date to be announced.

What's your opinion of this song? Is it a hit or a miss?
