14 DAY TRIAL // Television personality and star Lisa Rinna has often been attacked for getting plastic surgery and then playing the “all-natural” card with the media, by saying she was so proud of the way her body looked she wouldn’t change a thing about it. One thing that often got her under heavy fire was having had work done on her lips – now, in the first interview ever, the star admits to getting silicone injections, as People magazine informs.
“That’s the pink elephant in the room. This is the first time I have told what I have done to my lips.” Lisa said on the Today show, as quoted by the celebrity mag. According to her own words, it all happened 23 years ago, as her husband watched from above and she was “gullible” enough to let herself be talked into getting silicone shots in her upper lip for a plumper look.
“The look she was after was what Barbara Hershey had in the Bette Midler movie Beaches, ‘plump and beautiful,’ said Rinna. ‘I was gullible enough to go and do it.’ Not that she was dissatisfied with the outcome. She loved the look, which, she noted, ‘made me who I am’.” the mag further explains. However, this was only the beginning of the road for Rinna, who would soon discover that what she had done would have effects on her appearance that would have her visit beauty clinics on a permanent basis.
“But then the silicone hardened, and the look of the scar tissue was no longer plump and beautiful. Next came a cortisone injection, and that was ‘gross,’ she said. But that, in a nutshell, is the saga of Rinna’s pucker apparatus. ‘I do not blow up and down my lips,’ she assured fans.” People magazine further writes. Nevertheless, some critics say, despite her denial that she’s not a fan of regular procedures to alter the size of her lips, that does not change the fact that photos often show her with a different set – literally – from one public outing to another.
