After struggling with their weight for a very long time and never getting long-lasting results, in mid-2012, comedienne Lisa Lampanelli and husband Jimmy Cannizarro decided it was time for a more drastic measure and they both went under the knife. Many months later, Lisa is now skinnier than ever.

Attached to this article is a photo Lisa posted on her WhoSay and Twitter accounts the other day, while talking about a certain shoot she’d taken part in. Her fans disregarded that and only paid attention to how skinny she looked.

And it’s not hard to understand why: after her gastric-sleeve surgery, which effectively prevented her from overeating because the capacity of her stomach was much smaller, Lisa has been shedding weight constantly.

Last time she spoke on the topic, in May this year, she’d dropped 106 pounds (48 kg) already, but she still was heavier than she is today. Moreover, today, she’s also sporting a fierce, new, and modern blonde haircut.

The photo was also picked up by TMZ, who compared Lisa’s weight loss to that of Jonah Hill who, right after unveiling a slimmer figure, was accused of somehow having lost his funny bone in the process as well.

For the record, Jonah is back to his former weight and, mysteriously or not, he’s also deemed “funny” again.

“Thanks for the coverage, @TMZ - And don't worry, I'm still funny, and so is @JonahHill!” Lisa says on her Twitter, proving that, indeed, her sense of humor is still intact.

She does that one more time when one of her followers tells her to “eat a sandwich you twig,” replying, “Comedy is the only professional that a size 6 is considered too skinny [sic]!,” making an obvious comparison to the fashion industry where, in most circles, anything above a size 0 or 2 max is considered “too fat.”
