14 DAY TRIAL // With the release of Hellbound for Lineage II: The Chaotic Throne, there will be many improvements for the players to experience - we have already posted information about the pet system changes. And that will not be the only thing, as NCsoft plans will add even more variety and further enhance the gameplay experience. We're talking about the Hellbound transformations which will allow moderate-to-high-level gamers to play something one would not normally do, but would test it just for fun or diversity.
As you know, the character transformations were already available to the skilled players via talismans, skills of consumable scrolls and for those level 50 or above, the "More than Meets the Eye" quest from Necromancer Grand Master Hardin in his Academy. Together with these "war" transformations, we have the "social" ones which allow us to turn our alter-egos into fun, friendly creatures. But there's always room for improvement, NCsoft seems to believe, so they decided to spice things up a bit.
With Hellbound, developers wanted to further add to the transformation system and give it a bit more depth and variety, as we've said before. Five new transformations were added for all characters that reach level 70 and, at the same time a series of very rare transformations were added. These will allow the character to transform into an especially tough raid boss, like Ranku or Kechi - they won't be as powerful as that raid boss, but they'll be more powerful than the normal combat transformations, which will be a great advantage in the game. The Transformation Sealbook needed to complete the transformation process can be acquired by hunting certain types of raid monsters, so obviously these items will be highly sought after.
Aside from a couple of new, fun non-combat transformations, a set of class-specific transformations have also been added. Once the player reaches level 80 in their sub-class they can undertake a special quest to acquire it. These transformations into "divine" versions of their sub-class can be especially powerful and have a wide variety of specialized skills available to them.
