She may still be on probation and forced to complete her community work by a deadline, but that's not to say that Lindsay Lohan can't work to jumpstart her career. She will probably do so on reality television.

Various reports in the British media claim that LiLo is a hot commodity right now for producers of Celebrity Big Brother, which remains to this day a very popular reality show with audiences here, Us Weekly reports.

Given the media frenzy that Lohan generated with her latest encounter with the law, when she got a bigger sentence for violating her parole, it's understandable why producers would want her on their show.

However, whether she'll actually give it a shot is an entirely different matter, but negotiations are supposedly underway as we speak.

“The troubled star is in talks to join the UK show Celebrity Big Brother and producers have flown to L.A. to 'lure her over the Atlantic.' Lohan would follow in the footsteps of actress Tara Reid, who was a housemate in 2011,” Us Weekly writes.

“Lindsay would be an absolutely amazing signing for us. She's a fiery character too, so there are sure to be a some major clashes with other celebrities if we get her in the house,” an unnamed source is quoted as saying.

Even if she does accept the offer, she might not be able to honor her commitment because of the stipulations made by the judge the last time she was in court.

Lindsay is not allowed to leave the country and, with a production start date for Celebrity Big Brother set for January 2012, this might not leave producers that much time to ask for an exception to be made.

“We hope that the courts will make a special allowance in this case. There aren’t many more controlled environments than the Big Brother house,” the spy further says.
