Before she gets to make her big movie comeback with Lifetime's “Liz & Dick,” an Elizabeth Taylor biopic, Lindsay Lohan is working her way up and back into people's hearts with TV work. Below is her cameo on “Glee.”

As we also reported a short while ago, Lindsay agreed to be on the popular TV musical show in a bid to boost her profile and remind people that, before she was this intensely mediated celebrity, she was an actress.

It was basically the same reason why she agreed to host Saturday Night Live as well – nay, why she insisted on hosting the show.

As was the case then, now too Lohan's appearance is deemed underwhelming and not up to par to the hype by critics, industry watchers and, most importantly, regular people at home.

You can see it in full below.

The Washington Post notes that there is nothing to make this cameo stand out, beside the fact that writers paired Lohan with celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, who manages to come across as terribly annoying but, somehow, a better actor than Lindsay.

The cameo was short (“I spent more minutes reading about how Lohan allegedly showed up late to the 'Glee' set than I did actually watching her on 'Glee'”) and unfunny.

Lohan constantly making fun of herself is getting tired now, especially because she can't even sell that right.

“Is there anything better than someone making a comeback?” she asks at one point, hinting at her own case and her much mediated comeback, which has been taking at least a couple of years to happen.

“I show up here and there isn’t even a red button I can push and a chair that can spin me around where I can then point at a kid onstage and say, 'I want to work with you'?” Lindsay asks later, in a direct reference to The Voice, NBC's hit singing competition.

“I’m seriously firing my manager,” she unconvincingly adds.

The conclusion can only be one: as much as Lindsay talks about and would love a good comeback, the kind the entire world loves, with appearances like that on SNL and “Glee” it's just not happening.

“On the 'Glee' cameo appearance spectrum, Lohan was not in anything resembling the same league as Gwyneth Paltrow and Kristen Chenoweth, but not nearly as annoying as Perez Hilton. Her image probably hasn’t been rebranded, but it also hasn’t been tarnished either. So... mission accomplished?” the Post writes.
