Shortly after her OWN docuseries, Lindsay, aired, Lindsay Lohan packed her bags and flew to London. Despite claims that she would focus solely on her career next, since then, she’s been seen out partying so much that many are convinced she’s back to her old tricks already.

If you too thought there was any truth to this, Lindsay is here to let you know that she’s actually been working while in London. In fact, she mentions oh-so-casually in a new interview with the New York Times that she’s about to make her big stage debut.

The topic of the discussion is that of the London Fashion Week, with Lohan attending first-row several of the shows.

“Ms. Lohan said that she has been in London for several months, preparing for a potential appearance in David Mamet’s ‘Speed-the-Plow’ in the West End in November. ‘It’s the first time I’ve done a stage play or anything like that,’ she said. ‘I’m nervous but I’m excited’,” the NY Times writes.

So, to all those saying that, while in London all she’s been doing could be summed up in a few words (like “paid appearances,” “partying,” and some more “partying”), Lindsay is saying that she is determined to make a career comeback, just like she promised she would.

The docuseries mentioned above, produced by Oprah Winfrey, who also acted as some sort of “mentor” for the troubled actress, was meant to serve the purpose of showing the world that her most recent rehab stint (court-mandated, by the way) had changed her in that it had helped her to understand she would be getting no more second chances with her acting career.

Lindsay talked the talk but she never walked the walk because, no matter how much she told cameras that acting was “her life,” she still wasn’t convincing enough to make the offers come her way. In fact, her only project in a very long time, a movie she announced at Sundance with plans to star in it and produce, has hit a dead-end because she can’t get sponsors. Because she has the reputation of being the most unprofessional and unreliable actress around.

If it’s true that Lindsay will be making her stage debut this fall, she must be aware that the backlash will be huge if she fails. Once a very promising actress, Lohan has burned pretty much all the bridges as she ran her credibility into the ground through countless arrests, drug and alcohol drama, and too many lies to count.

She should know by now that not even she can get a gazillion second chances – and this play will probably be her last. Make it count, LiLo!
