Hollywood star and paparazzi favorite Lindsay Lohan chose to spend the winter holidays someplace sunny so she and sister Ali Lohan, in the company of some friends, traveled to St. Bart’s to work on their tan. While there, the star also found some time to take to her Twitter page to write a few words on her resolution for the year that had not yet started at that moment.

For starters, Lindsay says in her post, she’s not about to fade away into obscurity, as some would have her do. On the contrary, she plans to stay just as active and in the media as she has so far, the only exception being that she plans to grab headlines for good things and not only for her out of control party lifestyle. Another thing she wants to work on is to keep her true friends close and not let them disappear from her life.

“2010 is about moving forward, not backwards. Leaving the bad (people, habits, and negative energy behind) time to make changes-right!?!? :) To answer everybody’s question… My new years resolution is to stop letting the lucky few that have my heart, try to constantly tear me down. Everyone get ready for more (but positive-LOHAN MAYHEM!!!!!!!!) [sic]” the 23-year-old star wrote.

One person that Lindsay has no plans of keeping around for that much longer – not if she has her way, that is – is her estranged father, of whom she has already spoken against on several occasions. Though they have not kept in touch for years, Michael Lohan continues to act as if they’re on the best terms possible, which is why Lindsay took to Twitter a while back to set the record straight.

The tweet came after Mr. Lohan released several private recordings between himself and his former wife about Lindsay’s alleged drug addiction. “My fathers such a loser & those recordings are from years ago. To release personal things is foul enough, but to edit them. I used to think That he needed the book for dummies on learning how to be a father. Haha-he’s needs the book for dummies on HOW TO BE A MAN. [sic]” Lindsay wrote at the time.
