14 DAY TRIAL // Following a very eventful weekend, troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has decided it was time for yet another intervention and has willingly checked in a rehabilitation facility.
Late Monday, Lindsay took herself to rehab at an undisclosed facility in Southern California. She’s expected to remain there for at least 30 days, People informs.
According to the magazine, the decision to seek help came from Lindsay herself, who realized her life was going downhill, especially after her arrest over the weekend and subsequent release.
“Newly freed on bail following a relapse, Lindsay Lohan voluntarily has checked into a substance abuse rehab program, a source confirms to People,” the mag informs.
“The actress, 24, who most recently spent 23 days in a live-in program at UCLA Medical Center, planned to ‘step up her treatment’ and ‘do more’ than previously expected, a source has said,” People also says.
If the report is accurate, it would stand to prove that what Lindsay said after it emerged she’d failed two court-mandated drug tests was heartfelt.
As we also informed you at the time, Lindsay said the failed drug tests were a “setback” but she remained determined to overcome her “disease” (i.e. drug addiction) and to come out of this sober and rehabilitated.
Now that his daughter is in rehab, where Michael Lohan said she belonged, he is reportedly worried that Dina and someone close to her are trying to put the actress under conservatorship.
Admittedly Dina wants to assume control over everything that Lindsay has, including property and money, and will use the time she spends in rehab to iron out all the details to her devious plan.
“It’s disturbing... the co-conservators would be Dina and Lindsay’s business manager, Lou Taylor ... Lou and Dina are trying to throw Lindsay in a rehab right now and get her out of the picture so they can get a conservatorship without her knowing,” Michael claims, as cited by Examiner.
“They would control literally everything Lindsay does, what projects she has coming up, her finances and the people she sees-and that includes keeping me out of her life,” Mr. Lohan explains.
