14 DAY TRIAL // Lindsay Lohan talks the talk but never walks the walk. For the past several years, she’s been telling the media, DUI after DUI, rehab stint after rehab stint, that this time she would do things differently, this time she would focus on work and not make a fool of herself.
The last time she said those things and made those promises to her fans, who are still believing in her, was on the docuseries Lindsay, which aired on Oprah’s OWN network. After that, Lindsay packed her bags and moved to London where she’s reportedly back to drinking, doing drugs and partying around the clock.
A couple of days ago, Lindsay Lohan hit Italy, looking worse for wear. She wasn’t there to party, though: TMZ reports she was honored with the Biggest Comeback Award at the Ischia Global Film & Music Fest, and she showed up to collect the award.
Paparazzi photos available online hint that she also showed up to get drunk / wasted and fall on all fours, to work on her tan on a private yacht, and pose for the paps while chain-smoking.
The irony is that Lindsay hasn’t starred in a movie since 2013’s “The Canyons,” which barely registered at the box office so not even die-hard fans wanted to see it. To put it bluntly, she’s receiving an award for a comeback that’s not happening.
Before you accuse me of being a “hater,” let me assure you I’m not: Lindsay was once a very promising actress and she seems to have lost her way. I can’t say whether she’ll ever find it again but that won’t stop me (or many others online) from laughing at the fact that she’s receiving an award for her inexistent comeback.
