14 DAY TRIAL // Rehabbing star Lindsay Lohan is really busy these days taking offense with various people for speaking publicly about her drug problems, which will hopefully be a matter of the past soon. She’s now fuming mad at CNN for including her on this year’s list of “most provocative celebrities.”
While she’s contemplating the end of her stay in rehab at the famous Betty Ford Center, Lindsay found herself deeply upset about CNN’s list of most provocative stars of the year, which also included a honorable mention of her name.
However, TMZ reports, Lohan found the mention anything but honorable – it’s actually a disgrace, she thinks, because she never aimed to have people paying this much attention to her personal life.
“Lindsay Lohan gets called a lot of not-so-pleasant things but the label that crosses the line is ‘provocative’ – and sources say she’s ticked at CNN for using the unspeakable word to describe her,” TMZ reports.
“Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ LiLo was ‘beyond upset’ to see her name on CNN’s ‘Showbiz Tonight’ as one of the most provocative celebs of 2010,” the same report notes.
Still, she only made top five, but didn’t take home the big “prize,” because Lady Gaga beat her to it. Also included in the top five were Mel Gibson, Miley Cyrus and Charlie Sheen.
Though Lindsay was very upset about the list, CNN probably didn’t even mean it as an offense: the top 5 is just a list of celebrities who managed to capture the public’s attention to the greatest extent, as the NY Daily News also notes.
They are celebrities “who provoked the most visceral reaction, who provoked the most continuous shock and outrage, who generated the most continued interest throughout the year [and] who had the most lasting impact,” as the show’s producer Sid Lipsey said.
“Lohan’s ending the year in rehab, leaving some to speculate (and hope) that this may be the last year we see her on the Most Provocative list,” Lipsey also said of Lindsay’s inclusion.
As we also informed you yesterday, Lindsay was also extremely hurt and offended by the jokes Gwyneth Paltrow made on her stint on “Glee,” with mom Dina saying she felt like a friend back-stabbed her.
