Star boards plane for LA, gets off it at the last minute

Lindsay Lohan’s attorney got a serious scolding from a judge in January when his client wasn’t in court because she was too “sick” (but not sick enough to go shopping), so it makes sense for the legally troubled star to do her best to show up for her court hearing.

For the time being, that seems highly unlikely.

Lindsay’s latest trial begins today: she stands accused of lying to police officers in an ongoing investigation, telling them she wasn’t driving the rented Porsche she crashed into an eighteen-wheeler, even though she was.

After refusing to plea bargain, Lindsay’s case will go on trial.

For now, though, she’s still stuck in New York, having missed her flight to Los Angeles, which, in turn, could mean she’d not be on time for court, TMZ writes.

“Lindsay arrived at JFK a few hours ago after deciding NOT to fly back on Saturday as previously planned. We're told Lindsay was on board the plane when for some reason... she decided to get off. According to our sources, Lindsay was in such a hurry to get off the plane, she left her bags behind,” the celebrity publication writes.

The moment she got off the plane, Lindsay started contacting all her celebrity friends to see if anyone could send over their private jet, so she’d make it to LA on time.

“Our sources say LiLo is now in an airport lounge, calling, texting and emailing everyone she knows, trying to get a private plane to take her to LA,” TMZ reports.

“Law enforcement sources tell TMZ she MUST appear at the hearing tomorrow or the judge will issue a bench warrant,” adds the same media outlet.

Admittedly, there was a problem with the fuel tank of the plane. Lindsay has been telling friends she wasn’t the only one to get off. The plane eventually left with a 1-hour delay and was scheduled to stop in Vegas to refuel.

For the time being, no word on how Lindsay will make it to LA.
