14 DAY TRIAL // Growing up in the spotlight and, at times, in the presence of people who exert a bad influence has been tough for Lindsay Lohan. Still in her early 20s, the star already has a couple of rehab stints under her belt, a few brushes with the law and thousands, if not more, of pages covered in speculation and facts on her many troubles. And Lindsay continues to be very troubled, as scars on her arms still show, Hollywood Dame says.
Last September, Lohan was photographed with what looked like scars from cuts on her arms, which, completely unsurprisingly, generated speculation that she was a cutter. Photos taken a little over a month ago, with the actress on vacation, relaxing by the pool, are just now being blown up – and they still include hints that she may still be self-harming.
“The actress has been photographed several times before with slices and scars on her wrists. PopEater focused on images around September of last year that showed the results of Lindsay Lohan cutting. A year later, she is still doing it. Fresher scars mixed with old wounds were spotted on Lohan’s left [arm] while she vacationed in late August of this year. Her arm is sliced through her tattoo and marks were made from her elbow to her wrist. She isn’t the only star accused of cutting.” the aforementioned celebrity gossip site says in a post accompanying blown-up photos of Lohan’s arm.
As the report also noted, Lindsay Lohan was not the only star to be believed to harm herself. Other celebrities have already admitted to the destructive habit, including Angelina Jolie and “Transformers” star Megan Fox. For both, cutting themselves was the only way they could come up with to deal with the chaos at home and the insecurities that were plaguing them. Both also stopped doing it ever since they were teenagers.
The same doesn’t apply to 16-year-old Disney star Demi Lovato, who is also believed to be harming herself again. Lovato was recently pictured with what looked like scars on her arm, which made many conclude that she had yet again succumbed to cutting as a means to relieve stress. Her rep has denied all such claims, insisting the marks were made from a bracelet she had on that was too tight.
