Work hasn’t been all that great for Lindsay Lohan in recent years but, since she was sentenced to court ordered rehab, she’s been keeping busy as a bee. Nevertheless, she’s still courting controversy wherever she goes.

The star is now in Brazil doing some promo work for a clothing line, which also included an appearance at a club there.

As reports about her drinking problem continue to make the rounds, a photo of her crouching under a table at the club has emerged online, on Twitter first (the original tweet has been deleted since).

The moment it hit the net, speculation began about how Lohan had probably drunk herself under the table and how she was back to her wild partying even though it’s gotten her in so much trouble already.

TMZ writes that this wasn’t exactly the case: she wasn’t drunk, she was hiding.

“LiLo got down and seemingly dirty on the floor of a nightclub hours after her arrival,” the celebrity publication writes.

“As for why she did it, according to a roughly-translated Brazilian website, Lindsay refused to take photos with people at the club and instead hid under the table like a 4-year-old petulant child,” the same media outlet adds.

Agreeing to a paid appearance only to humiliate yourself by hiding under the table to avoid doing the promo work you agreed to do rather defeats the whole purpose of the gig, one might say.

In other Lohan news, she’s accused again of stealing from a movie set. Lindsay just wrapped a cameo on Charlie Sheen’s “Anger Management,” with inside sources saying she “stole” a bracelet.

The aforementioned TMZ writes in a separate post that Lindsay has been telling friends the accusation is meritless because she did not steal the item.

She reportedly told producers that one of the conditions to do the gig was if they allowed her to take with her whatever she liked from the set, and they would deduct it from her salary afterwards.

This is why she took the bracelet, she claims.
