Lindsay is already broke after being paid $2 million (€1.45 million) for reality series

Oprah thought she landed a winning ticket when she convinced Lindsay Lohan to do a reality series on her OWN television network. But the mercurial actress only agreed to do it for big bucks, which is why Oprah relented to paying her in excess of $2 million (€1.45 million).

Some would say that it was money poorly spent, because, from what we've seen so far on TV, Lindsay was more than a handful during shooting, missing scheduled shoots, throwing tantrums and refusing to cooperate, even if in the end, she seemed apologetic when an irate Oprah sat down with her and told her to “get her [expletive] together.”

But with a bit of luck and plenty of people constantly pushing her, Lindsay completed the series and received a hefty paycheck that she sorely needed, as reports she was bankrupt or on the verge of being broke began circulating some time ago.

Now, Radar is saying that the Lohan is broke again, having already spent the reality millions. “Only Lindsay could get paid such a large paycheck and once again be in dire financial straits,” says an insider.

One of the explanations for this could be the fact that “After Lindsay’s manager, agent, publicist [and taxes] were paid … she was left with $750,000 [€543,975],” which is cocktail money for the actress known to be hitting hard on the party scene and leaving dents wherever she attends.

“This was last year, and Lindsay has never been able to save any money in her life. Her reality show has been sold overseas, but she will only get $250,000 [€181,325]. That money gets divided up among her team, and Lindsay is left with less than $100,000 [€72,530].”

The other thing that puts a big dent in Lindsay's finances are shopping sprees, the more and pricier the better. The reports coming in from her team aren't favorable either: she's already fired her personal assistant Matt Harrell because she didn't have any money left to pay him, and also her sobriety coach, although that may have more to do with her desire to drink than with her lack of money.

The trouble is that Lindsay's financial future doesn't look all that bright. She has very little work lined up and certainly nothing big enough to pull her out of her dire straits. Of course, it would help if she could tone down her spending, but that's really hard to do when you're used to getting big checks and people treating you like a celebrity.

She has the movie “Inconceivable” on her plate next, which she is producing and starring in. It's certainly not going to be a blockbuster and there have been rumors already claiming that her patrons were linked with drugs and other shady business, leaving to interpretation Lindsay's sources of income for this production.
