“I could have turned everything into a crime scene, like OJ, cutting everybody’s throat.” Hulk Hogan was saying in a recent Rolling Stone interview, speaking of how he could have reacted to seeing his soon to be ex-wife moving on with another man. In a declaration released to ET Online, Linda Hogan fires back at Hulk, saying that his latest statement is testament to the ordeal and fear she had to live with for so many years while still married to him.

“Hulk’s serial cheating destroyed our marriage, our family and our future. Sadly, his recent comments remind us that his definition of fair is much different than what the law dictates.” Linda says in the statement. According to her rep as well, she takes Hulk’s words very seriously, meaning she regards them as a more or less indirect threat to her personal safety and even life.

“We have always maintained that the fear that Linda has had to live with comes from the rage and instability much too often associated with pro wrestlers. Linda and her family are taking these recent homicidal comments seriously.” the statement further reads. However, it makes no mention of specific measures that will be taken to safeguard Linda Hogan from her alleged “homicidal” former husband.

The wrestler, on his part, is backpedalling on the statement, saying that the quotes that made it in the media were actually parts of a larger conversation. Had PageSix given the entire quote, Hogan’s rep also says in a separate statement, the public could have seen that he was actually saying that he did not condone murder or O.J Simpson. Moreover, it is being said, the wrestler was only trying to say that he too was in a very bad place at a certain moment, but he found the strength to move on and not give in to his first urges.

“Page 6 only quoted a very small portion of the Rolling Stone article, not the statement in its entirety. He said that he understands the frustration that can lead to that sort of activity but he definitely does not condone it. He is grounded in his faith and a belief in a higher power and does not believe in violence for any reason.” Hogan’s rep tells the media.
