Medieval II: Total War will be released on November 14, 2006 as a limited edition material featuring bonus content, according to SEGA.

The second installment in the Total War series will be released on PC and gamers who purchase it within the first print run will benefit from a detailed map of the Total War game world and a copy of the official soundtrack of the game. Most of the tracks featured in the soundtrack have been especially created for Total War by composer Jeff Van Dyke.

Medieval II: Total War is the follow up to Rome: Total War, game that won the Strategy Game of the year award back in 2004. Medieval II has also been awarded by PC Gamer Magazine as it won the Editors' Choice Award in December.

The game will feature 21 factions, out of which 17 are playable, and out of this, 5 are playable from the beginning. Once you evolve in the game and win some campaigns, you will be able to play with the rest of the factions.

A demo of the game was released on October 10 and featured a tutorial of the battle of Hastings, Battle of Agincourt and the Battle of Pavia. The game covers a long period of time- almost 500 years, as the action of the game takes place between 1080 and 1530.
