Famous designers making the 2012 Golden Globe awards fabulous and glittery have recently proven that this year eco-friendly design is still in fashion.
The same strategy is adopted by Nudie Jeans, an eco-conscious company launching only 500 pairs of limited-edition jeans on the US market.
The Swedish company is fully aware that the manufacturing process behind every pair of jeans is in some cases far from being eco-friendly, since it requires gallons of water, dyes and other chemicals.
In this case, the products sold at Barneys New York are made using recycled material coming from old jeans, processed properly and combined with virgin organic cotton.
These days, the only thing wrong with the sustainable fashion is the rather high price most of the green clothing items have. The jeans are far from being considered an eco-friendly bargain, since they are priced at $215 (€170).
