14 DAY TRIAL // Lily Allen has never made a secret of wanting a family, as large as possible. However, just days after announcing on her Twitter that she was back in the recording studio, supposedly ending her time off work, word is out that she's expecting again.
If true, this can only mean one thing: fans waiting to hear new music from the British songbird will have to wait some more, because she will have to focus on family as well, so music won't be her priority right now.
In November 2012, Lily and husband Sam welcomed their first child together, a daughter they named Ethel Mary Cooper.
They announced the pregnancy on the same day they announced their wedding, in June of that same year, choosing to keep it a secret because Lily had had two devastating miscarriages already.
They could be doing the same now, the Daily Mirror speculates. For the time being, Lily's only telling family members and close friends about it.
“Lily has started telling her friends and everybody in her close circle is so excited for her. It was a surprise but Lily and Sam are thrilled. The pair of them have loved every minute of parenthood so far and wanted to expand their brood quickly. So it’s great timing,” says an unnamed source.
Only a few days ago, Lily made a rare public appearance and was extremely surprised when people did not spot her baby bump, which was hidden under baggy clothes.
“Lily was sure people were going to cotton on to the fact she had a pregnancy bump but she seemed to get away with it thanks to wearing very baggy clothing. Her bump has popped out very early – far earlier than the last pregnancy. She’s been joking she feels six months pregnant already,” the insider explains.
As for the aforementioned new album in the works, the spy vouches it'll still happen: Lily is determined to record it but, at the same time, she will take proper care of herself and take it easy if that's what the doctor recommends.
“Lily’s got lots on her plate right now. She’s been working on a handful of songs already and has lots more ideas of what she wants to do,” the spy says.
“It’s time for her to start recording and getting the record together. But like everything in her life, work comes second to Sam, Ethel and now their bump. She’s just so excited,” adds the same unnamed source.
