The builders took it to the street but drove slow to avoid a “Lego explosion”

Romanian Raul Oaida and Australian Steve Sammartino built a life-size black and yellow Lego car with 256 pistons. The car is fully functioning and air-powered with four orbital engines powering the vehicle up to 20 mph.

The construction made from more than 500,000 plastic bricks was built in Romania and then shipped to Melbourne. The two constructors couldn't wait to hit the streets with their cool new toy, but controlled their speed, avoiding a catastrophic “Lego explosion.”

The Lego car actually runs on air and the amazing design was featured on Super Awesome Micro Projects' website.

The video posted online shows one of the guys driving the ingenious vehicle on the streets, at a slow speed of course, but who really cares about the speed when you have the chance to ride in an actual life-size Lego car.
