Lexar Media, one of the world's leading providers of memory products for the digital media, has just announced a full line of memory products, part of its Crucial series, which meet the requirements of the Trade Agreements Act (TAA) of 1979. According to the company, the already available line of solutions includes DDR, DDR2 and DDR3 premium-quality memory modules designed for a wide variety of computer systems, including servers, desktops and notebooks. The TAA compliance is available for products that have been designed or have been substantially transformed in the US or in one of the TAA “designated” countries.

“Our new suite of Crucial TAA compliant memory products go through rigorous manufacturing and testing processes and meet the TAA’s stringent sourcing standards,” said Jim Jardine, Lexar Media’s senior DRAM product marketing manager. “We understand our government and education customers have unique needs, and we take pride in providing them with premium-quality, Crucial-branded memory solutions that meet those needs.”

According to Lexar, its Crucial-branded TAA-compliant memory modules for desktops, servers and notebooks have been specifically designed to provide customers with a premium-quality solution that offers the best performance in its class. These modules are said to go through rigorous testing, before becoming available to the end-user. With the offering including solutions for all three major DDR standards, Lexar Media looks to provide an alternative to users in the educational segment.

Lexar also announced that the TAA-compliant memory modules have been designed to be part of the company's own Crucial Reliance program, which includes limited lifetime warranties, toll-free dedicated support and an optional on-site spares program. The Crucial series has been built as an affordable alternative for users looking to upgrade or change the memory inside their desktop, notebook and server systems.
