The installation makes it seem as if the upper part of the tree is actually floating

Gravity gone wrong? Or just an illusion meant to confuse people and make them reconsider the fact that they need glasses. Spoiler alert, but the second theory wins.

A team of artists decided to amaze viewers with a rather magical trick by wrapping part of a tree in foil and painting it to blend in with the background, making it seem as if it was missing its middle and its upper part was levitating.

If you look at it from a distance it actually can make you think the tree is split into two parts and separated by air. That's until a car or a jogger passes by and just disappears behind the tree, and then appears once again.

The installation, called the “Hovering Tree Illusion,” was built by Daniel Siering and Mario Shu in Potsdam, Germany and captured the attention of many YouTube viewers. The bad part is the trick only works from a particular angle so if you are not standing in the right place, it is kind of hard to see the levitating tree.
