Leonardo DiCaprio surely knows how to treat his ladies, especially if he’s taken a serious fancy with them, as he has with Blake Lively, whom he’s now dating. In a single trip, the actor bought his date no less than $70,000 worth of gifts, it has emerged.

Despite reports that they’re using each other for publicity, or that he was using her as a rebound girl after Bar Rafaeli, word has it Leo is truly smitten by Blake.

So in love is he with the “Gossip Girl” star that, on a recent trip, he showered her with gifts, buying for her whatever her heart desired and then some, InTouch Weekly writes (story via here).

According to spies close to the A-list couple, though there’s absolutely nothing Blake could want at the moment, Leo really made her feel special on a recent trip they took together to Italy.

“On top of all [her] good fortune, Blake was recently lavished with $70,000 worth of gifts from her new boyfriend during their whirlwind Italian vacation,” the celebrity mag writes.

“‘He bought her anything she wanted,’ says a friend. From jewelry and perfume to shoes and handbags, Leo went all out as the duo traveled to Venice, Milan and beyond,” InTouch further says.

Not that DiCaprio saw this as a burden: in fact, “Leo actually loves to shop and get gifts for family and friends,” the friend explains.

He didn’t stop there either. “He later surprised her with other gifts as well,” the same insider dishes.

If earlier reports saying that DiCaprio was falling head over heels in love with Blake are true, it’s no wonder he went out of his way to see every of her heart’s desires made real.

“I’ve never seen him like this with a girl,” other unnamed insiders were telling the US glossies after Leo and Blake returned from a spur-of-the-moment trip to Disneyland after the MTV Movie Awards 2011.
