While some were busy watching the Grand National horse race, singer Leona Lewis took to Twitter to express her deep and intense disapproval of this annual event.

Apparently, the singer simply cannot wrap her head around the idea that there are people out there who are ready and willing to make horses jump over high fences and expose themselves to all sorts of other dangers for the sole purpose of entertainment.

Furthermore, she cannot understand why some people would want to watch the ordeal that horses are subjected to during this annual race.

“[Expletive] the Grand National! How about we put down the little [expletive] that running those poor horses into the ground. Can't stand this [expletive],” the singer reportedly tweeted.

Given the fact that horse deaths are inevitable during this event, few can argue against the fact that Leona Lewis does make a very compelling point.

Still, I have to give it to her: her Twitter post concerning this racing event was harsh, to say the least. More so given the fact that Leona is not known for being fond of rude words.
